Norwegian Air has made a very British change after England defeated Norway in the World Cup quarter finals. Earlier this week, Norwegian tagged British Airways on Instagram inviting them to a simple challenge.
If England lost, British Airways would change its logo to Norwegian's, and vice versa.
Following the defeat, Norwegian has stuck to its word, with the BA masthead now emblazoned across the top of its Instagram profile.
Norwegian said: "While the tournament is over for us, this friendly bet will forever live in all our hearts.
"We wish England and @british_airways all the best in the semi-final, and we sincerely hope you’ll get to bring football home!"
And in a separate post, Norwegian said: "Well played England. Fancy a trip to Norway?"
The carrier revealed it is providing reduced-price flights, with the caption noting: "Since we lost yesterday's bet we're offering a flash sale on all Norwenglish destinations, use code: FBALLCOMINGHOME [sic]. Terms and conditions apply".
Fans are loving the posts, with one writing: "Your marketing team deserves a bonus @flynorwegian , we are having too much fun with you!"
A second said: "Whatever is the outcome of the finals….I think this story of @flynorwegian and their banter with @british_airways will be remembered for the longest time!!"
A third said: "You have gained huge respect and love from the world @flynorwegian the hype of visiting is so strong, see you soon".
