"In 2022, I had the privilege of helping Annette and Malcolm find the retirement home of their dreams in the mountains of Bedar, Spain. It was a joy to watch them begin a new chapter together, and from everything I knew, they built a wonderful life there and became part of the local community," noted Leah.
"I'm heartbroken that Annette lost her life in the devastating wildfires. My deepest condolences go to Malcolm, Annette's family and friends, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy. None of us knows what tomorrow will bring. If there's a life you've been dreaming about, don't wait for the perfect time to start living it. Rest in peace, Annette."
Leah's tribute comes days after fellow A Place in the Sun presenter, Jasmine Harman, penned an emotional post. "Some awful news. You may have seen on the news that Spain has been experiencing some terrible wildfires, and I was so sad to hear of the tragic deaths of several people in Bédar," the TV star wrote on Tuesday.
"Sending deepest condolences to those who have lost loved ones. Especially to Malcom who previously appeared with his wife Annette on A Place in the Sun. I don't really have the words to say how very sorry I am for your loss Malcom. I know we have never met, I can't imagine what you are going through right now. Sending thoughts and prayers."
