Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell was left in tears when her baby boy said the first word, "Mum". The sweet moment was caught on camera as the professional dancer was recording a daily vlog on YouTube. The Australian ballroom dancer met her now-partner Joe Sugg on the BBC One show in 2018.
They welcomed their first baby, Bowden, in March. Posting on Instagram, the 37-year-old was surprised when Bowden said 'mum'. She welled up with happiness and said: "Oh my God! I was literally so overwhelmed with emotion right now because he keeps saying 'mum, mum, mum'. I'm so overwhelmed. It's the best feeling in the world."
The post attracted hundreds of comments and likes as fans all said the same thing. One person said: "I can’t deal. Such a special, special moment and now it’s documented, you’ll be able to look back on it forever."
Another got emotional as she shared: "I sobbed at this bit, absolutely beautiful." And a third added: "I think we all cried with you. When they say 'Mumma' for the first time, it just overwhelms you."
Dianne added: "A snippet from my latest vlog. A moment I will never forget. The first time hearing the word mum from your child was the best feeling in the world."
As the rehearsals for Strictly Come Dancing 2026 is underway, Dianne has been seen heading back to work for the first time since Bowden's arrival.
While Dianne was back in the studio, partner Joe has been sharing updates with his fans on what he and his son have been up to. One video showed the new dad going on a cinema trip where he opened up about going out solo.
He told his followers: "He [Bowden] slept through most of it to be fair but overall, a great experience."
Other than Dianne, there are 13 returning pro dancers including Julian Caillon, Amy Dowden, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Jowita Przystał, Aljaž Škorjanec, Alexis Warr, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley and Vito Coppola.
Additionally, there will be five newcomers - Aleksandra Isaeva, Cristian Priori, Lethabo Monametsi, Maddie Ingoldsby and Mark Karmalita.
