Donald Trump's new winter look has gone viral, with the internet claiming the US President has drawn fashion inspiration from Zohran Mamdani after meeting with him at the White House. The 79-year-old world leader donned a burgundy scarf and an oversized black peacoat while the weather cooled down over the weekend, and the outfit has been shared online, as his choice was compared to the signature style of New York City's mayor-elect, Mamdani.

During their conversation, Trump said it was OK for Mamdani to describe him as a "fascist" and praised him for refuting Republican attack lines against him. Since their meeting, Trump has been seen wearing a similar outfit to Mamdani while heading to Marine One and talking to the press.

Twitter has been reacting to Trump's new look, with journalist Aaron Ruper sharing a clip of the President in the lengthy coat on the social platform, which has been liked by thousands of users.

He wrote: "Quite a look for Trump today." In response, someone penned: "What is he wearing?"

Another added: "Who wore it better?" Meanwhile, a third shared: "Trump strutting in that black full-length coat with the maroon scarf… looks less like a statesman and more like a villain in a winter dystopia."

Another penned: "This is the first time I've seen him dress differently than a red tie and blue blazer."
