
A British granddad who was stranded in Croatia after he was left unable to walk following a fall is facing a 30-hour journey home by ambulance. Brian Ackroyd has been admitted in the hospital for a month after he sustained severe injuries including a fractured skull and a broken C2 vertebrae.
Hailing from Teesville, the father-of-three also suffered nerve damage and three bleeds on the brain after falling in Cavtat during the first morning of his holiday. The 65-year-old has now been moved to te neurology ward in Dubrovnik General after spending several days in intensive care, reports Teesside Live.
