The Epstein files have been finally released and Donald Trump has not been named. Last month, the US Congress passed with overwhelming bipartisan support the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which compelled the US Department of Justice to release all unclassified materials related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein in a "searchable and downloadable format" within 30 days.
The law explicitly called for the release of travel logs, materials about Epstein’s associates, any related immunity deals, relevant corporate records, all internal Justice Department communications about the investigations, and documents about Epstein’s death in 2019. Being named in the files does not imply any wrongdoing. Mr Trump, who signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act, has consistently denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein and has never been accused of wrongdoing in connection with the investigations into the convicted sex offender.
