Two 16-year-old boys and a 19-year-old man have been arrested after a teenager was stabbed to death meters from a busy high street. Emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing in Victoria Road in Feltham at about 5pm on Monday, the Metropolitan Police said.

An 18-year-old boy was treated for stab wounds at the scene and taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A 16-year-old boy was arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

Another 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of the same offences on Tuesday, with a 19-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

The 19-year-old is alleged to have assaulted one of the two boys arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing, the Met Police said.

The boy was treated for minor injuries before he was arrested, the force added. “Firstly, I would like to share my deepest condolences with the victim’s friends and family during this hugely difficult time,” Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the investigation, said on Tuesday.

“We understand that this incident has been distressing for the local community,” he also added. The victim’s family are being supported by specialist officers, according to the Met.

“I want to reassure the public that this investigation is a priority for us and I hope it offers some reassurance to know we have made three arrests,” Mr Bhangoo added. “Residents may see an increased police presence in the area as we undertake further inquiries, however at this time we are confident there is no risk to the local community.”
