A lot of what we know about the incident so far is what is coming through on social media from eyewitnesses and those outside of the airport.
Some are saying all flights are closed, this has yet to be confirmed - what we do know is flights will undoubtedly be affected due to an incident of this magnitude, with delays and cancellations for passengers to deal with.
One passenger who has just arrived at the airport says everyone on his flight is being held on the tarmac.
