Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, Nicola Peltz, have reportedly been offered a seven-figure deal to write a tell-all book sharing their version of events in the ongoing feud with his family. I strongly advise the 26-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham to turn down this alleged offer before he loses what little credibility he has left.
Last week, Brooklyn, 26, went nuclear on social media by releasing a bombshell six-page statement lambasting his famous family, where he claimed his mother "danced inappropriately" on him at his wedding. Among other allegations, he also claimed his parents have been "trying endlessly to ruin his relationship" with billionaire heiress Nicola. And how did Brooklyn end his very public outburst? He signed off in a similar tone to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex by writing that all he and Nicola want is "peace, privacy and happiness".
Of course, everyone is entitled to peace and privacy - but if these factors are so important, why eviscerate your family for the world to read on Instagram Stories? He opened a monstrous can of worms, and his brash action cannot be undone.
Now, if Brooklyn agrees to write a memoir - similar to Prince Harry, who released Spare in 2023 - he will look like a complete fool.
Brooklyn, like Harry, has demanded privacy and would go against his wishes if he were to air his dirty laundry in a book for money. While I am sure Brooklyn has valid points, he's come across as a spoiled rich kid who needs to get a proper occupation.
If he pens - or gets a ghostwriter to write - a book, he will be the ultimate sellout. Every word will be put under a microscope, just as the world did to Prince Harry when his book dropped.
The royal's book painted him as a bitter and self-absorbed Duke who was willing to trade in his family gossip for money. It damaged his reputation, and it would have been better if he had kept quiet.
Hopefully, Brooklyn doesn't make the same mistake Harry does, all for some cash. He certainly doesn't need the money, being married into a family worth billions.
Delete your social media, Brooklyn. Stick to a career path and keep your personal life private if you don't want to add fuel to the fire.
