Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have been have been at odds with David and Victoria Beckham since their 2022 wedding, and it seems there's no route to reconciliation for Brooklyn and Nicola with the Beckhams. Brooklyn has made it clear where his loyalties lie with his statement announcing the feud with his parents, making it clear that he wanted to focus on him and his wife. 

Relations hit fresh peaks when the pair didn't turn up to David Beckham's lavish 50th birthday festivities, leaving the former Manchester United icon "hurt" by their absence. They also avoided Victoria's birthday celebrations, and he neglected to post any Mother's Day tributes online in March.

Speaking to The Mirror, one psychologist has pin-pointed the reasons behind their feud as being related to Nicola's relationship with her dad, taking on characteristics that are "headstrong and determined".

"The 31 year old has undoubtedly inherited characteristics such as her resolve from her accomplished father, with psychologist Dr Goddard-Crawley explaining to Daily Mirror that principles regarding work, achievement and dedication are transmitted powerfully within families. She stated: "Growing up with a parent who emphasises effort, competitiveness or achievement can foster a strong sense of drive, confidence and self-belief. ""For some people, this can look like being headstrong or determined.

"For others, it can feel like a need to be right or to stay in control. The same early messages can be experienced very differently depending on temperament and context. A strong or demanding upbringing can produce resilience and ambition, but it can also make someone very protective of their own boundaries and independence."

It was stated that pulling back from a high-profile family can be a way of "protecting a sense of self".

It was also reported after the wedding that the Beckham's "didn't like" Nicola's dad very much, and her close relationship to her father could have influenced further withdrawal.

She previously praised her dad's close relationship with Brooklyn too, saying: "Brooklyn is getting into very exciting things with his shows and also business things and it's really sweet. I watch him call my dad and say, 'What do you think about this?' I love watching him learn from my dad."

Brooklyn and Nicola remain very close to her parents, with them being invited to their intimate vow renewal while his own parents were not extended an invite, he has now made it clear that he has separated himself from his parents.
