National Highways has provided diversion routes for motorists following tonight's M65 closure in Lancashire.
Diversion route: Eastbound traffic
Eastbound motorists are advised to follow the solid triangle diversion symbol on road signs.
- Exit at J5- At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A6077 northbound- At the B6130 junction turn right onto the B6130 (Shadsworth Road)- Continue onto the A6119 (Whitebrick Road)- At the roundabout take the 3rd exit to re-join the M65 at J6
Diversion route: Westbound traffic
Road users travelling westbound are advised to follow the hollow square diversion symbol on road signs.
- Exit at J6- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit- At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the A6119 (Whitebrick Road)- Continue onto the B6130 (Shadsworth Road)- At the A6077 roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A6077- Re-join the M65 at J5
