BBC Question Time is being broadcast from Clacton-on-Sea this evening but Nigel Farage, who is MP for the constituency, Will not be on the panel. The weekly show, hosted by Fiona Bruce will feature a panel consisting of Labour's Jake Richards, Tory Tom Tugendhat and Liberal Democrat Layla Moran, as well as businessman and TV personality Tom Skinner.

However Reform UK leader Mr Farage, who has been the MP for Clacton since 2024, will be absent from the panel. Taking to X to explain the reason, he wrote: "I wasn’t able to take part in #BBCQT from Clacton tonight, as we were told MPs are not allowed to appear on the show in their own constituencies. I’m sure I’ll be back on before too long!" Earlier Mr Farage had written that he was on his way to Sunderland for Reform UK's official election launch.
