Urban explorers investigating the abandoned property once owned by Jimmy Savile revealed a series of eerie details — including a baffling discovery in the kitchen that left them stunned. Footage shared by the Hell on Earth YouTube channel shows the remote home in a state of severe neglect, with damage, debris, and signs of attempted vandalism scattered throughout. As they approached the isolated building, one explorer said, “Oh my God, God only knows what happened in this place,” before adding: “We are in the middle of nowhere.”
Inside, the group found remnants of the past still lingering — including what appeared to be an old utility bill linked to Savile himself. Reacting to the discovery, one said: “It’s a utility bill for Jimmy Savile,” underscoring just how untouched parts of the property remain. The explorers repeatedly commented on the atmosphere inside, with one remarking: “god only knows what happened in this place. Jimmy Savile used to wash hands in that sink,” while another admitted the condition of the property was unsettling even beyond its history.
There were also signs the cottage had been targeted before, with visible damage and evidence of attempted fire damage outside. One said, “Someone’s tried to torch it.” But it was the kitchen layout that left the group most confused.
During their walkthrough, one pointed out, “There’s no space for an oven in the kitchen,” a bizarre detail given the house's size and structure.
Elsewhere, the property showed clear signs of decay and abandonment, with broken fittings, chewed wiring and evidence of animals inhabiting the space.
One explorer described what they found in a crawl space: “It’s just like a crawl space… there’s mice and rats… all the, you know, that when you put that plastic tubing over wires… that’s just been chewed up and spat out everywhere.”
Despite its condition, the cottage’s remote location stood out — perched in what one described as a “strategic” spot, far from neighbours or public view.

Reflecting on the setting, one said: “Look at that, it’s in the middle of nowhere, but that is strategic in my eyes,” hinting at why the property may have been chosen in the first place.
At one point, the group even questioned whether the property could still be salvaged, with one asking: “if this was for sale for 10 grand would you still get it,” before another replied bluntly: “I’m gonna leave the house just like it is… it smells.”
The visit has sparked strong reactions online, with viewers commenting on the dilapidated building’s condition.
One wrote: “Such a shame that such an important and well-located home in Scotland will forever be known for the monster who once lived there.”
Another added: “If only the walls could speak! Imagine the horror…” A third commented: “It’s sad that a beautiful place like the highlands is tainted by Jim Jim’s house”.
