Storage Wars star Darrell Sheets has died aged 67 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, according to reports. According to a statement from Lake Havasu City Police Department, obtained by The Sun, officials responded to reports of a deceased person at Darrell's home on Wednesday (April 22) at 2am. The outlet claims he was pronounced dead at the scene, and his family was notified.
The statement read: "This incident remains under active investigation and additional information will be released as it becomes available." Darrell appeared on Storage Wars from 2010 to 2021 and was best known as 'The Gambler' for his high-risk, high-reward purchases on the show.
The A&E series followed professional buyers bidding on abandoned storage units in the hopes of discovering valuable items inside. He also made several appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Rachel Ray's cooking show. After retiring from Storage Wars, the broadcaster moved over to Lake Havasu in the heart of Arizona, where he operated an antique show called Show Me Your Junk.
Before his death, he had suffered from various health issues, including a heart attack in 2019 that required surgery to recover from.
