A MasterChef has revealed how Meghan Markle was like during the filming of the show when she was with Prince Harry on the our in Australia. Chef Poh Ling Yeow appeared on KIIS Radio this week to talk about a special guest who appeared on her cooking show and said she's "really good at judging".
The As Ever founder was invited to MasterChef Australia as a guest judge, and host Georgie Tunny was curious to know what the former actress was like off-camera. She said: "This is such a huge week, obviously the return of MasterChef. But Poh, you're usually the only royalty in any kitchen that you step into. But you had to share the crown with none other than Meghan Markle. What was she like?"
Chef Yeow smiled and replied: "This is so much public conjecture about this and she's so delightful, like nothing but praise for the time that we spent for her. Very easygoing, good sense of humour in like consummate professional. I maen, she's an actor, right? So she just slid right into that judging role, like seamlessly."
Co-host Mike couldn't help but addressed the elephant in the room: "Did she seem to like food?" Poh replied wtihout hesitation: "She loves food!"
Georgie then moved on to ask if Meghan was "geniunely lovely" and if the chef could give an insight to how the former actress was during the filming.
Poh said: "No, no, no. Genuinely I think it's very interesting because when you drill down, you can't really... no one can actually really say why. it's one of those situations, and at the end of the day, I really feel for her because she's still a human. There's an emotional human at the end of that when with all this hatred that people like spitting out. No she was honestly so lovely."
The clip ended as Mike asked if Prince Harry was with Meghan at the filming, but Poh said: "No, he wasn't there."
However, Australian showbiz journalist, Tom Ford, shared his doubts on social media about Meghan's cooking skills. He said online: "Breaking: Not actually a day of rest for Meghan. She's been busy filming Masterchef as a guest judge. Not sure if she cooked anything other than a succulent appearance fee!"
Last year, the Duchess made a blunder when she was using her canning equipment upside down, and the mistake was quickly spotted by eagle-eyed viewers.
One user wrote on X: "Guys she’s using the canning tongs upside down. The rubber part goes around the jars so they don’t slip."
Another one agreed: "Yes, the green goes on the bottom to grab the jar."
