The I'm A Celebrity...South Africa live final witnessed considerable drama unfold backstage as pandemonium broke out amongst the show's stars. Audience members who attended the finale have taken to social media to offer a glimpse into what unfolded on the night as Adam Thomas was crowned the series' Jungle Legend.
In a revealing post on TikTok, one live audience member shared a comprehensive account of what transpired when the cameras stopped rolling. Posting a video on the platform, TikTokker Lex Hartop delivered a detailed voiceover, outlining key moments, including Scarlett Moffatt being reduced to tears and how host Ant McPartlin was allegedly overheard branding the production a "f***ing mess."
Speaking over the video, Lex said: "Come with me behind the scenes of the most chaotic I'm a celeb final, probably ever. I think it was their first-ever live final within a studio, and you could kind of tell, especially the way things went down. We sat right behind Gemma Collins, and at one point, we overheard her speaking to Jimmy and saying, 'Just cop to it, just cop to it,' which obviously he didn't do.
"The whole thing was insane, it was such a mess, and Ant came off stage and was vaping saying the show is 'a f****** mess." The whole production team were literally scrambling to keep the show together. Scarlett, who sat in front of us, was also crying her eyes out at one point, not sure why." Lex then shed further light on the events as he went on: "Honestly, it was so much fun though, like going to a show and it being that much going on, it just felt like such a mess. The set was stunning, though, like the detail that went into it. We had a great time being there; it was such a cool way to see television being filmed, which is a shame because it all just went to s***.
"I mean, I was sort of like happy sort of booing, and everyone was chanting bully at one point to David, and Sinitta was definitely not happy about that, and she completely stormed off, along with Gemma, actually. The whole energy though, just felt so off, and Adam just didn't seem like his normal self, which was just a shame. I wasn't seeing the bubbly side of him that I would normally have seen on TV; he just looked like a sort of shell of himself," reports the Mirror.

He wrapped up by saying: "The production team and the runners, so everyone, were just running everywhere, there was so much chaos going on, trying to sort of reassemble the show that had completely fallen apart, with all the cast, like half the cast mates, just walking off and not coming back on. I mean, the winner, Adam, he didn't even come back, so it was just mad." Lex then revealed further behind-the-scenes details as he responded to comments on his post with additional information. After one fan questioned why David was positioned behind Adam, he explained: "So we were wondering this too, like why would you have David sat behind Adam? And during the ad break, David kept grabbing Adam's shoulders, and Adam just wouldn't react.
"You could hear screaming from Sinitta and Gemma off stage. Scarlett walked off and started crying, but was consoled by Dec, who went straight to Jimmy and confronted him, and it looked very heated. Ant stormed off, saying it was a load of s*** and was clearly fuming at Jimmy and Gemma."
He went on: "Gemma was also last out to take her seat at the start, and they moved the boys from being next to each other to have her in the middle so they couldn't gang up together, I guess. They did the same with Ashley in the second show, so it was definitely a conscious decision that we were happening at the same time."

He then made claims about one of the celebrities being accompanied by security as he added: "I never knew Ant vaped. One of the celebs also hired security that sat right next to us during taping, and whenever they ran off stage, they went off with them." Lex went on to paint a vivid picture of the fraught stand-off between Jimmy and Adam, explaining: "I don't know how it looked on TV, but on set, there was one point when Jimmy stood up over Adam, which made everyone feel so anxious. Like, even I, like, I wasn't sure what he was going to do. And to say that Adam was being aggressive and wanting an apology was pretty disgusting.
"It made everyone so uncomfortable. Jimmy also had his phone on him, which was really, really fishy to me. Almost like he was being told what to say. He could have been recording, but who knows? I mean, it was such a mess. Anything is really possible at this stage. I felt so bad for Adam. Adam's family were there but left as soon as he was crowned."

These claims come after Jimmy and Ant were seen continuing their heated confrontation after filming wrapped, with security forced to step in. Newly surfaced images appear to show the dispute between the pair carrying on outside the studio once filming had concluded.
The photographs depict the former footballer in conversation with host Ant after the final show, with security surrounding him. Ant appears to be walking away, yet turns his head to listen to what Jimmy is saying.
