Liverpool Central train station has been closed after a fire, with Merseyrail lines delayed as a result.
Smoke was seen coming from a control room. The station was evacuated and closed, along with underground stations on the Merseyrail loop having their power cut as a precaution.
Queues have built outside Moorfields Station, with services into the city centre being suspended while Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service deal with the incident
