Korean actor Park Dong-Bin was discovered dead at his unopened restaurant in Pungtaek, Gyeonggi, aged 56. According to reports, an acquaintance found his body and informed the police. Park’s cause of death remains unconfirmed, and an investigation into his passing is being handled by police officers. No signs of homicide or other criminal acts have been confirmed as part of the ongoing investigation. No suicide note was found near the star’s body. He had been preparing to open a Korean restaurant and was found dead at the venue he was set to open in a move away from acting.

Park’s debut film, Ginkgo Bed, was released in 1996, and he later went on to appear in various dramas.

He leaves behind his actress wife, Lee Sang-yi, whom he married in February 2020.

The pair share a three-year-old daughter, whom Park spoke lovingly about on television recently. He recently mentioned her surgery for a heart condition during an appearance on TV.

He explained: "She has left heart hypoplastic syndrome, where the left ventricle and aorta are underdeveloped. Without a heart transplant or staged surgeries, she could die."

Their daughter had to go through three major surgeries before she was 16 months old, with her mum recalling: "I tried to be happy every day until childbirth.

"After her second surgery, she had difficulty breathing and suffered a brain shock in the ICU. Though she seemed fine, doctors said we’d need to monitor her for years. Thankfully, we can now breathe easier."

Despite the youngster's illness, the couple remained hopeful as they knew she would need a final surgery when she was three.
