There is traffic chaos and huge delays on the M4 this morning following a serious crash, with emergency services rushing to the scene. Two (of three) lanes are currently closed on the M4 eastbound between junction 14 (Shefford Woodlands) and junction 13 (Chieveley).
There is also three miles of traffic on approach. National Highways East had previously warned drivers face delays in excess of 30 minutes, but this has now significantly increased, with drivers urged to plan ahead or even delay their journey. In its latest update on X, National Highways East wrote: "2 (of 3) lanes remain closed on the #M4 eastbound between J14 #SheffordWoodlands and J13 #Chieveley #A34 following a collision. Emergency services are working at scene. There are delays in excess of 60 minutes. Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey."
