A school in Manchcester is currently in lockdown as policec rush to the scene of a serious incident. Students at Cedar Mount Academy in Gorton are reportedly being advised to stay in their classrooms, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Police have rushed to the school on Wembley Road. Alarms have been heard going off in the school, according to eyewitnesses. Pictures show concerned parents waiting outside the school gates. The nature of the incident at the school has not yet been confirmed. The Daily Express has contacted Greater Manchester Police for comment.
