Armed police have swarmed a street in Birmingham with residents evacuated from their homes amid an ongoing incident. Birch Road in Northfield has been taped off by cops.
An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit is believed to have been sent to the street at around 2pm, with "armed police everywhere". A resident told BirminghamLive: "Houses evacuated Birch Road, Northfield. All houses evacuated. Bomb squad on the way, army are on the way now. Armed police everywhere."
