A teenager from Syria has been found guilty of raping a 19-year-old woman in a portable toilet on Bournemouth seafront. Mohammed Abdullah, 19, was convicted following a trial at Bournemouth Crown Court of the rape and assault by penetration of the woman in the early hours of July 6, 2025. Judge Robert Pawson remanded the defendant in custody until the sentencing hearing on July 3 and ordered a probation report to be prepared.
He told Abdullah: “On the 5th to 6th July, having come down from London with a group of other young men, by unfortunate circumstances your path crossed (with the complainant). She had had far too much to drink, it was late at night, she was at the beachfront at Bournemouth and, on a whim, you decided to take advantage of that.
