Tess Daly and Vernon Kay’s split rocked their fans after an incredible 22 years of marriage as they issued a statement earlier this month to confirm they were going their separate ways. The pair have stated that they are splitting “amicably” and will continue to remain friends as they stated they still have “care and respect” for each other. They even popped a bottle of champagne to toast the end of their marriage as they released the statement to the public.

But even the most amicable divorces can get messy, however it currently seems like the pair are having the “friendliest divorce in showbiz”. The pair, who have two children together Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 16, are planning to continue that friendly relationship as they split their reported £6million fortune alongside properties and businesses.

According to Daily Mail, an insider has said that the pair were “clever” with their money and invested it into joint projects as well as solo ones. The source said: “Both having high income streams means they won’t need to battle it over their joint fortune as, individually, they’re well off.” It was explained that they’ll be walking away from their marriage without either of them taking a hit financially, making it quite a straight-forward split.

It’s believed that Vernon’s pay for his Radio 2 job is around the £395,000 mark, while Tess’ Strictly gig was seeing her bring in £400,000 a year, Daily Mail reported. Tess’ income was also increased by her swimwear brand NAIA beach as well as her work with beauty products. Outside of their separate income, they also have their joint five-bedroom Buckinghamshire home which is worth an estimated £3million.

The pair issued their breakup statement earlier this month to the shock of their many fans, telling them all in a joint post: "This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us.

"We remain great friends and most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority.

"There are no other parties involved in this decision. We kindly ask for privacy during this time as we navigate this transition together. We will not be making any further public comments. Tess and Vernon."
