The Prince and Princess of Wales have awarded one of their members of staff with the ultimate honour during a special ceremony today in Windsor. Prince William attended an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle and awarded his most trusted driver with the Royal Victorian Medal in Silver.

Lance Sergeant Scott Robin Bishop was awarded for his services to the Prince and Princess of Wales. He was awarded, among other big names, including teenage darts prodigy Luke Littler and Wicked star Cynthia Erivo. The Royal Victorian Medal is awarded to members of staff for their service to the sovereign or other members of the Royal Family.

LSgt Bishop has been quietly carrying out his duties, driving the Wales family to various events.

Another member of Prince William and Princess Catherine’s team received the same honour earlier this year.

The couple’s nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, was awarded the Royal Victorian Medal in silver during a similar ceremony in March.

Maria started working for the family in 2014, shortly after Prince George's birth.

There is not a great deal of information available about Miss Turrion Borrallo, aside from the fact that she comes from Spain and studied at the prestigious Norland College in Bath.
