The historic nursery, founded in 1968, showcased the new Kate Moss rose at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show and secured an impressive 31st gold medal.
Speaking to the Express beside the stunning display of more than 1,000 roses in the Great Pavilion, Tina said gardeners should avoid reaching for harsh chemicals.
“If you get greenfly on your roses, just rinse them off with water,” she said.
“Get a hosepipe and spray them off, then wait for the ladybirds to come in. That way you are not spraying nasty chemicals and the bees are protected.
“Just rinse them off or squish them if you’re brave enough.”
