A huge search and rescue effort is underway after a teenage boy "went missing in water" in a popular country park in Yorkshire.
The teenager was swimming in the lake at Rother Valley Country Park in the hot temperatures on Monday, May 25.
South Yorkshire Police, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, and Yorkshire Ambulance Service all rushed to Rother Valley Park around 7pm on Monday.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "We were called to Rother Valley Country Park at 6.50pm today (Monday 25 May) following reports that a teenage boy had entered the water but had not been seen getting out.
"The search is continuing into the night and updates will be provided as soon as possible."
