Princess Kate has revealed what Prince George’s music taste is, and it's quite surprising. The Princess of Wales revealed her eldest son’s favourite genre during a visit to The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester on Thursday. Speaking to members of the public in the music therapy room, the princess shared how George, Charlotte, and Louis’s different music tastes can make the school run a bit tricky.

She said that "Charlotte loves Taylor Swift", while Prince Louis is an Alex Warren fan. However, when it comes to Prince George, he “wants more rock. He loves AC/DC”. The young royal also plays the guitar.

The fan base of the Australian band AC/DC is typically made up of older men, given the group was formed in 1973, but with Prince William being a fan of the band, it is likely his admiration has rubbed off on his eldest son.

Back in 2021, Prince William said on Apple’s Time To Walk podcast: “There’s nothing better than, on a Monday morning, when you're a bit bleary-eyed after the weekend and trying to get yourself back into the grind of the week, listening to AC/DC, Thunderstruck.”

Though funnily enough, the future king wasn’t always a fan of the particular song.

He added: "I have to say the first time I put it on, and I've heard it a million times now, I was kind of, like, 'Well, this is quite heavy for a Monday morning'.

“But now, when I listen to it, it's the best tonic for a Monday morning. It absolutely wakes you up, puts your week in the best mood possible, and you feel like you can take on anything and anyone."

As well as inheriting his dad’s love for AC/DC, George is also a fan of rock band Led Zeppelin, Hello Magazine reports.

In 2023, Caroline Mulvihill, a member of the Rock Choir, told PA of a conversation she'd had with Prince William: "We were talking about the kind of music we do in Rock Choir and Will was telling us in their household they have a very diverse music taste and George is very much into AC/DC and Led Zeppelin."
