GB News presenters Stephen Dixon and Anne Diamond paused their live coverage on Saturday to discuss a royal wedding. Anne, Princess Royal's son Peter Phillips is set to marry NHS nurse Harriet Sperling during a private ceremony at All Saints Church in Kemble, near Cirencester, Gloucestershire, on Saturday. King Charles and Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales and his sister Zara and her husband Mike Tindall are among those in attendance.
However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were notably absent from the royal wedding. Previous reports have claimed the Sussexes as well as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson have not been invited to the wedding. Host Anne questioned: "The fact that the Sussexes are not coming. Not even Harry on his own. Can he do anymore to alienate himself from the family. He is making himself the black sheep isn't he?"
Former royal butler, Grant Harold, replied: "Absolutely. Obviously, I know them quite well, Peter and Harry. I was thinking I can imagine there must have been some sort of phone call.
Although, he may not have been invited I still think there would have been a discussion about it because they're close."
The former royal butler suggested the Sussexes did not want to "overshadow" the royal event.
He continued: "Maybe Harry was aware that it wasn't a good idea to be there. It will overshadow the wedding. They don't want to do that. I hope they don't want to do that.
GB News presenter, Stephen Dixon, then quizzed: "I wonder if had been invited at all for that reason. But if they are quite close they can come to an understanding."
