At least 12 people have died and nine others were injured in a shooting in Johannesburg, South Africa. The shooting erupted at Jumpers Informal Settlement in Cleveland at around 11.10pm local time on Tuesday, according to police.
Among the fatalities are eight men and three women, all declared dead at the scene, and another man who died to his injuries in hospital, officials said.
