A lorry crash has prompted the closure of the full carriageway on a stretch of a major motorway. The M6 southbound between J35 and J34 in Lancashire was closed on Wednesday morning following a collision involving a heavy goods vehicle, which jack‑knifed across all three lanes.
The incident, which began shortly after 10.15am, has resulted in a full carriageway closure while emergency services responded, with a reported fuel spillage adding further complexity to the scene, National Highways said. Police and emergency services were sent to the scene following the incident.
