
A woman died after setting herself on fire in Manchester, giving herself severe burn injuries.
An inquest has opened into the tragic death of 22-year-old Shawgar Rasul Hama.
She died on May 23 in Wythenshaw after setting herself on fire, a coroner confirmed.
During a hearing at Preston Coroners' Court, Area Coroner Kate Bisset said: "This lady died as a consequence of burns having set herself on fire."
Miss Hama was born in Iraq in 2003 and lived at Greenhurst Close in Blackburn.
Her body was identified by police via her medical wristband.
The full inquest into Miss Hama's death is scheduled to take place on October 2 at Accrington Town Hall.
