The Beckham family feud continues to be messy, and just when Harper Beckham showed up at her brother, Brooklyn's, house in Beverly Hills, hoping for a visit, the eldest son of Victoria and David Beckham appeared in a new ad for DoorDash, and he seemed to be delivering an act of his own to add fuel to the family divide.

In the ad posted earlier this week, Brooklyn sat on a sofa and appeared to pull what can only be described as a smirk, saying: "You're probably wondering why I'm watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home...it's a long story." Then he put down a stack of tickets on the coffee table, got up and walked out of view. The camera then turned to the table as the on-screen caption showed: "It's complicated. More soon."

The 11-second clip seems odd to me, and this is the usual food delivery ad we see on TV or social media. If it's about watching the World Cup from home, there's no TV to be seen in the room. And not to mention, there's no food or drinks on the table, only a DoorDash-branded cooler bag, a luxury watch, and a camera.

The timing of the ad is remarkable; it came out just three days after Harper's failed attempt to hand-deliver him a letter. A representative from Brooklyn alleged to Entertainment Tonight: "That photographers were in place as the letter was hand-delivered says it all. This was choreographed for the cameras."

The Beckham family camp hit straight back, with a source stating that: "[It] is incredibly sad that this horrible accusation is being levelled at an innocent young girl who just desperately misses her brother."

This is not the first time Brooklyn has been featured in food delivery service advertisements; he previously collaborated with Uber Eats.

But Brooklyn's smirky delivery in the DoorDash ad suggests he is comfortable with his choice and may be acknowledging that the family estrangement is his doing.

He might be watching the World Cup at home, but he is not "coming home" with his dad and brothers to sing Sweet Caroline.
