All traffic stopped on a stretch of the M25 on Friday afternoon, during rush hour, following a coach fire. The M25 anticlockwise in Greater London between junctions J9 and J8 was affected by the incident, National Highways said. Emergency services, including Surrey Fire and Rescue Services, were dispatched to the area.
Just before 5pm, National Highways said motorists should expect 58 minutes of delays on approach and eight miles of congestion. Traffic cameras showed, at approximately 5.15pm, intense congestion also at junction 10.
