High street banks NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) have announced the closure of 10 UK bank branches this September. While NatWest Group, which owns both banks, has confirmed these closures, they have also announced they intend to keep its remaining 336 branches open until at least 2029.

For those reliant on the branches, Money Saving Expert has shared alternative ways to bank in-person with NatWest. They suggested withdrawing cash or making deposits at a local Post Office or locating a local banking hub. These are shared spaces where customers of multiple banks can often deposit and withdraw cash while also receiving face-to-face support for their banking needs.

The experts also noted that, as NatWest and RBS are under the same banking group, customers should be able to use either branch if only one of them are shutting down in their area, but not the other.

The NatWest branches shutting in September include the North Street Bristol branch, set to shut on 15 September and the Llanelli branch on Stepney Street, closing even earlier, on 9 September.

The bank will close another Welsh branch, in Port Talbot, closing its Station Road spot on 8 September.

The high street bank will also see 2 closures in England’s capital, shutting down its Regent Street branch on 30 September and its Lewisham High Street bank, although this branch’s closure date is not yet confirmed.

RBS will see several branch closures across Scotland with 6 branches all closing this coming September.

These include Arbroath’s Brothock Bridge branch shutting down on 9 September, Biggar’s high street branch closing on 16 September and the Castle Douglas King Street branch closing on 10 September.

Scotland’s most populous city will see 1 bank closure with Glasgow’s Fenwick Road branch shutting on 17 September. The Milngavie and Motherwell branches will also be closing at the end of this summer, with the Douglas Street branch shutting on 8 September and the Hamilton Road branch closing on 10 September.

The full list of closures is as follows:
