Prince Harry is emerging from a significant week, and it seems he may have resolved one issue only to create another, according to one royal commentator.
There was considerable speculation about whether Harry's wife and two children would accompany him to the UK, and ultimately, they managed to arrange it. The entire Sussex family met with King Charles at Highgrove on Friday, and now that matters have calmed down, it may leave Harry yearning for home.
From Berkshire to Buckingham's Jane Barr suggests Harry is now longing for his former life.
"This must have been very emotional for Harry, who is obviously desperate to return to his old life," Barr wrote in her Substack.
"He was raised at Highgrove, after all. I bet this whole trip makes him more angsty than ever," she continued.
It was eventually confirmed that Meghan, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, would be accompanying the Duke to London, and while it was arranged at the eleventh hour, King Charles made himself available.
Barr examined what that experience must have been like for the monarch and how he navigated such a delicate situation.
"He invited them to his sanctum, but it also is not a flashy palace or even one of the super exclusive private residences that carry special mystique, like Balmoral," she noted.
Regarding Harry and Charles, both men appeared content with how events unfolded, yet when it came to Meghan, Barr suggests a different story — that the Duchess may have felt let down due to losing certain bragging rights.

"Meghan can't be easy breezy about how great it was to visit Balmoral this summer," wrote Barr.
While Highgrove may lack the grandeur of Buckingham Palace, it is far from modest, and offers considerable advantages, not least the privacy that has always remained a paramount concern for Meghan.
"Highgrove is private and tucked away, allowing Charles to meet the Sussexes without any paparazzi shots, and it is as down-to-earth as possible while also a home to a sitting monarch.
Viewed from the outside, the family element of the visit appears to have been a triumph, yet it raises more questions than it answers — which is precisely what makes royal watching so compelling.
Where things go from here remains uncertain, but Harry is most likely savouring the moment, appreciating it for what it is — an opportunity for his children to spend quality time with their grandfather.
As for what lies ahead, Harry is set to appear on the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast on Monday, July 13, where the Duke may well drop some intriguing hints about what transpired at Highgrove and what the future might hold.
