Drivers on a busy stretch of the M4 motorway have been warend they face severe delays to their journey following a lorry fire. National Highways said the M4 has closed westbound between junction 15 (Badbury) and junction 16 (Swindon).
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service have rushed to the scene. Motorway camera footage shows traffic at a complete standstill. National Highways wrote on X: "The #M4 has closed westbound between J15 #Badbury and J16 #Swindon due to a HGV fire. @DWFireRescue are leading the response at scene. Delays of 60 minutes and approx. 4 miles of congestion on approach. Please allow extra time if you're travelling in the area."
