Zara Tindall’s scathing comment to Prince Harry about his wedding | Royal | News

Zara Tindall made a scathing 10-worded comment to Prince Harry about his wedding to Meghan Markle six years ago.

The Duke of Sussex married the former actress on May 19, 2018 at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, with Zara and many other royals in attendance.

Just five months after Harry and Meghan’s wedding, Princess Eugenie tied the knot with Jack Brooksbank at the very same venue – which led to Zara’s cheeky comment.

Zara was spotted turning in her seat at Eugenie’s wedding to look at Harry, with a lip reader pointing out that she cheekily said to her cousin: “It’s very quiet compared to the screaming at your wedding.”

In response to the comment about the ‘screaming’, which may have been in relation to Bishop Michael Curry’s speech at the Sussexes’ wedding, Harry replied: “Mine?”

Despite Harry being a senior member of the Royal Family, Eugenie evidently had more guests at her wedding in October 2018.

As reported by OK!, Prince Andrew is said to have made a subtle dig at his nephew by just stating that his daughter had “so many friends”.

Harry and Meghan had guests such as David and Victoria Beckham and Oprah Winfrey to celebrate their wedding day, whereas Eugenie had Robbie Williams and Cara Delevingne in attendance at her wedding.

Meghan and Harry went on to carry out two years of royal duties together, before announcing their plans to step down as senior working royals at the start of 2020.

The couple now reside in California with their two children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

Much like Harry and Meghan, Eugenie has welcomed two children with her husband Jack.

The pair welcomed their first son, August in February 2021.

In a heartwarming documentary about the late Prince Philip’s life, Eugenie shared that August’s name had a very special connection to him. She said: “We named August, August Philip because grandpa has been such a huge, inspiring character in my life. We were very lucky to do that.”

Eugenie gave birth to the couple’s second son in May 2023, announcing his birth a few days later.

The mother of two posted on her Instagram account: “Jack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on 30th May 2023 at 8.49 weighing 7.1lbs.

“He is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald. Augie is loving being a big brother already.”
