Despite Princess Anne’s daughter and son-in-law not holding any official royal titles and not receiving any financial help from the Crown, the duo are believed to be worth a staggering £30million as reported in Hello! Magazine.
Through a combination of sporting accolades, endorsement deals, and TV appearances, Mike, 45, and Zara, 43, have various streams of steady income – from brands such as Domino’s Pizza to Rolex.
Like her mother, Zara is an equestrian star and competed in the London Olympics in 2012, obtaining a silver medal. Over the years, she has obtained several endorsement deals with high-end brands such as Land Rover, Rolex and outdoor clothing company, Musto.
Zara Tindall previously said she is “lucky” to not have an official title as she spoke candidly in a podcast about her family. She was interviewed by former rugby player Rob Burrow on his Total Sport podcast and said: “From my point of view, I was obviously very lucky that my mother didn’t give us any titles so I really commend her on that.”
In 2015, Zara launched a line of jewellery, named the Zara Phillips Collection, in collaboration with Australian designer John Calleija, with prices reaching over £35,000.
Former England rugby player, Mike, has also been cashing in over the past few years, also reportedly earning £300,000 for starring in an advert for pizza takeaway giant Domino’s in 2022, reports the Sun.
Like many celebrities, Mike has dabbled in the world of reality TV and bravely took part in ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ where he landed himself in the final. The World Cup winner reportedly entered the jungle for a huge £265,000 payout.
Stepping away from sport and adventure, the former rugby star also has a company Kimble Trading as reported in Hello! Magazine, of which he is the director. The business operates as a professional services automation provider.
In 2020, Mike joined forces with James Haskell and Alex Payne to launch the podcast, ‘The Good, The Bad and The Rugby’. The trio partnered with fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger for one of their social media videos.
Alongside paid work, Mike and Zara both engage in regular charity work including for Sports Relief, Parkinson’s disease organisations and other humanitarian companies.
The royal duo are also often seen at royal events helping out with their close family. Mike and Zara Tindall were on hand supporting Prince William as he hosted the second Buckingham Palace Garden Party this summer on behalf of King Charles.
Around 8,000 people were invited including William’s cousins, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. Prince William invited his cousins to help with hosting duties for afternoon festivities despite the pouring rain, while Princess Kate continued to stay out of the public eye while undergoing cancer treatment.
Zara and Mike share three young children, their first daughter, Mia, was born in 2014, followed by their second daughter, Lena, in 2018 and their son, Lucas, in 2021.
It is thought that King Charles is so determined to have Mike, Zara and their three children join the family at Balmoral over the summer that he’s considering moving a church service forward a week to accommodate the Tindalls.
