How to remove grease form hob fast without vinegar, baking soda or scrubbing

Cleaning the hob is one of the most crucial chores to get right since, just like your oven door, it probably suffers the most spills, splashes, and stains.

Worse still, high heat from the burners can cause messes to become baked-on and even more of a challenge to remove.

To speed up the cleaning process and make the task far easier, a cleaning enthusiast shared a go-to product of hers that “works like magic” on stained cooker hobs.

Taking to the Mrs Hinch Cleaning tips Facebook page, Nicola Davis said: “I was absolutely dreading cleaning my hob but thanks to the Dri-Pak liquid soda crystals it was a breeze.

“Unfortunately I didn’t think to take a pic before I started but it was in an awful state (don’t judge me!).

“I just poured some of the stuff on and left it for five minutes followed by a wipe down with a microfibre cloth. It worked like magic. I didn’t have to scrub at all.”

Group members also claim to get on well with this product. Diane Sloan said: “I’ve tried everything on my hob. Nothing ever seemed to get rid of the stains as well as liquid soda crystals.”

Katie Bourne wrote: “Yeah I love this stuff! It works so much better than Elbow Grease.”

Soda crystals are great as they have alkaline properties which make them so effective when it comes to cleaning your kitchen.

They can also clean soap scum, mould and limescale off bathroom suites, as well as tiles and shower curtains.

According to cleaning expert Wendey Graham of Moral Fibres, when you use soda crystals the grease on hobs will “wipe off with ease”.
