The precise schedule for the Oasis presale has been officially confirmed. This morning, fans began receiving ballot codes via email for today’s presale of the eagerly awaited reunion tour.
Oasis have now confirmed all ballot emails have been sent out, writing on X: “All Ticket Ballot codes have now been sent out to fans.
“Please do NOT buy a code or transfer them to someone else. Codes ONLY work with the registered email address. If you didn’t get a code to access the pre-sale, you can join the general sale tomorrow morning.”
Those fortunate enough to win in the ballot have been informed that the UK presale will occur between 7pm and 10pm tonight (August 30). There is expected to be a huge rush for tickets both tonight and tomorrow when the general sale commences.
This follows concerns from fans about the presale timings and their chances of success in the extended ballot, which was due to ‘unprecedented’ demand.
On Tuesday, it was revealed that the Britpop legends will embark on a global tour, kicking off with several dates across the UK and Ireland. They are set to perform in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin next July and August.
While general sale tickets will be available from 9am on Saturday (August 31) via Ticketmaster and See Tickets, many are hoping to secure them earlier in today’s presale, reports the Manchester Evening News.
This comes after some fans initially received an email after entering the pre-sale ballot, informing them that winners would receive their code by 12pm on Friday. Another notification then stated that their code could arrive anytime before a later time of 5pm today.
Fans were required to answer a selection of questions in a ballot, with those randomly selected to receive a code being notified. Initially, fans were informed that registration would be open until 7pm on Wednesday, August 28.
However, the deadline for confirming applications was extended to 10am on Friday following complaints from hundreds of fans who claimed they hadn’t received confirmation emails for their registration to potentially secure tickets before general sale.
Those who failed to confirm wouldn’t be eligible for codes from the ballot. The statement clarified: “Due to a last minute surge in pre-sale ballot entries, a number of confirmation emails are still being processed and sent out.Importantly, receiving a confirmation email doesn’t guarantee a presale code.
It simply means you’ve been entered into a draw to possibly receive a presale code for the event on Friday. If successful, your presale code will be delivered by 5pm on Friday, August 30. However, having a ballot code doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll secure a presale ticket when they go on sale at 7pm tonight.”
