The bodies of three children and a man have been found dead in a property by the emergency services in Surrey.
Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service called Surrey Police officers to an address in Bremer Road, Staines, at about 1.15pm on Saturday (August 31).
The force has launched an investigation in a bid to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
A spokesperson for Surrey Police said at this stage the force believes it is an isolated incident and there was no involvement from anyone else.
The devastating news has been shared with the next of kin who Surrey Police says are being supported by specialist officers.
The road has been closed by the police.
Surrey Police has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct due to previous police contact with those involved.
Chief Inspector Lucy Sanders said in a statement: “This is a tragic loss of life in our community and we are working to establish exactly what has occurred.
“There is currently a significant police presence at the location, and in the surrounding area.
“We would like to thank local residents for their patience and understanding whilst we conduct our investigation.”
