PS5 Pro isn’t the only new Sony console launching in November | Gaming | Entertainment

Sony recently unveiled the PS5 Pro, confirming that pre-orders will go live on the PlayStation Direct website on September 26, before launching in full on November 7. However, in a follow-up post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony revealed plans to release another range of new consoles and accessories in November, this time to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original PlayStation. The PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection includes new variants of the PS5 Digital Edition and PS5 Pro, as well as themed DualSense controllers, and even a brand new version of the PlayStation Portal, featuring the original PSOne colour scheme. Pre-orders for the new items will also go live on September 26, before launching in full on November 21.

The limited edition PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary variant comes with a themed version of the console itself, complete with 2TB of storage, and matching accessories, including a DualSense wireless controller, a DualSense Edge wireless controller, a DualSense Charging Station and a Console Cover for the Disc Drive add on (although the disc drive will be sold separately).

It also ships with an anniversary themed Vertical Stand, as well as an original PlayStation controller-style cable connector housing four PlayStation Shapes cable ties. That’s on top of a PlayStation sticker, a Limited Edition PlayStation Poster and a PlayStation Paperclip… for some reason.

According to Sony, each PS5 Pro Anniversary Edition is individually numbered as a collector’s item. Only 12,300 of the Pro models will be available worldwide.

Elsewhere, the 30th Anniversary PlayStation 5 Digital Edition includes a themed console with a 1TB SSD, as well as a limited edition DualSense controller and a Console Cover for the separate disc drive.

It also contains the same limited edition bonus items as the PS5 Pro, including the PlayStation Shape cable ties and this year’s must-have item, the PlayStation paperclip.

The 30th Anniversary DualSense Edge, standard DualSense and PlayStation Portals will also be in limited supply, although it’s unclear how many units will be available and for how long.

In terms of pre-order availability, this is where things get a little bit confusing.

For UK customers, it looks like the 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro, PlayStation Portal and DualSense Edge will only be available from the PlayStation Direct website, with pre-orders going live on September 26.

Anniversary themed PS5 Digital Edition consoles will also be available to pre-order from PlayStation Direct on September 26, before going on sale at participating retailers from October 10.

Finally, the Anniversary DualSense controller will be available to pre-order from the PlayStation Direct website and at select retailers from September 26.

Daily Express will be back with more pre-order information, prices and store links later this week, so keep checking back for regular updates.
