Music icon Dolly Parton has made an incredible gesture to Prince William and his family – but there was no mention of his brother Prince Harry.
The 9 to 5 songstress has invited William and his wife Catherine, Princess of Wales – along with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – to her theme park Dollywood, nestled in the mountains of Tennessee.
Opening up to Closer magazine, Dolly gushed: “Oh, I would absolutely love for them to come to Dollywood, that would be fantastic! The kids could go on all the rides and we would treat them like royalty.
“I’d give Kate my mashed potatoes—I wouldn’t put on any airs for them. I would just let them enjoy what we enjoy, and I’m sure that’s the way they would want it. I would love to have those kids at Dollywood.”
The country superstar sadly missed out on an opportunity to meet Kate when the Princess invited her over for tea in 2023, but Dolly had too much on to make it while promoting her album Rockstar.
Though she’s always been “fascinated” by the Royal Family, Dolly made no mention of Prince Harry, his wife Meghan Markle, or their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
While it’s uncertain if it’s a deliberate snub or not, her sister has actually spoken out in support of Harry and Meghan. Stella Parton insisted the pair were treated “like outcasts”.
She fumed: “Yes, I said it and I think more people should speak out when they see phony [sic] people in high places thinking their snooty behaviour is ok. I also think it’s very telling of Meghan’s sister to change her name back to Markle then use it to trash her little half sister.”
She’s always been an outspoken supporter of Meghan, branding her “beautiful”, “gorgeous”, “talented” and “brilliant”.
