PS5 Pro fans can get ‘bargain’ PS Portal in rare deal | Gaming | Entertainment

The PlayStation Portal is one of the newest devices Sony released before the PS5 Pro – and now shortages have disappeared, you might be tempted to buy one.

Well, for an early Black Friday deal, The Game Collection might have an offer that’ll tempt you to buy one. That’s because you can get one for one of the cheapest prices around.

The Game Collection is selling the device for £184.95 which is the cheapest we’ve seen it for a while. Most other sites like Amazon and PS Direct are selling it for £199.95.

The PlayStation Portal has been created to allow you to play games such as God of War, Baldur’s Gate 3, EA Sports FC 24, Horizon Forbidden West and Spider-Man 2 around the house without needing to take up an additional screen. By using your WiFi, you can stream games from your PS5 to the PlayStation Portal remotely – meaning you can enjoy your games from the comfort of your own bed, or even when travelling.

So if you have just bought a new PS5 or even a PS5 Pro while wanting to improve your experience, now might be your time to jump on this deal.

The PS Portal has received some great feedback from reviewers as well. One reviewer said: “Honestly cannot fault the Portal. Does exactly what I wanted which was use PS5 when the TV was being used. No input lag.

“Games played so far and all working perfectly. Space Marine 2 Ghost of Tsushima Spider-Man 2 Star Wars Battlefront 2 Helldivers 2. All played single and multiplayer and no issues at all.”

However, the PS Portal will depend on your internet connection in your home so make sure you have decent internet signal and speeds before you decide to get one because some customers have complained about connection issues.

One reviewer said: “I really struggle to recommend this. I have my PS5 hooked up via Ethernet and have 1Gbps upload speeds and yet the portal still feels too slow for inputs on most games I play. Unless all you play is casual games I don’t really think it’s worth the asking price”.

If you’re looking for alternatives, you can get the standard PS5 digital edition console from EE for less than £400.
