Are you in the market for a tablet but reluctant to shell out hundreds of pounds in one go? We’ve trawled the web for a price that won’t leave your wallet feeling light and stumbled upon one that costs just £3.50 per month – or 11p per day.
The deal is on the Galaxy Tab A9 LTE and has been cut in price in Sky’s newest contract discounts. This budget-friendly tablet boasts an 8.7-inch screen, split-screen multitasking, and a robust chip to cater to all your TV streaming or work productivity needs.
Sky has now made this device even more accessible by reducing its monthly cost to £3.50, resulting in an overall saving of £84 spread across the full 48-month plan. While the Samsung store prices the device at £219 (even with a £40 discount), Sky is only charging customers £168.
That’s £51 less than Samsung’s current sale price or £91 cheaper compared to its regular upfront cost at the Galaxy retailer. Amazon can’t compete either, with its £99 price tag on the same 64GB model. It’s undoubtedly the lowest price we’ve found for a new A9 LTE tablet, reports The Mirror.
However, Sky customers will need to choose a data plan to accompany it – a minor drawback to this otherwise attractive tablet deal. The cheapest available is the 3GB data plan (with a choice of SIM or ESIM), reduced from £10 to £6 per month on a minimum 12-month contract.
This brings the total Sky plan to £9.50 a month, but remember, you’re not obliged to maintain the data for the entire 48-month contract. So, why opt for the Galaxy Tab A9?
Amid Sky’s array of tempting offers, it stands out as the most wallet-friendly option per month. It competes with the likes of the 11-inch Apple iPad Air (2024) at £17 monthly and Samsung’s premium Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra tablet priced at £30 a month.
Despite its affordability, the Galaxy Tab A9 doesn’t cut corners on quality, offering robust everyday functionality. At launch, Samsung hailed it as ideal for ‘everyday entertainment and productivity in a portable package’.
Users seem to agree, with one customer exclaiming: “Really a great and super nice tablet. AI functions work well and the camera works particularly well, for a tablet.”
Another satisfied user remarked: “Beautiful screen that reaches to the edges. Razor-sharp image and yet very quiet, reads super fine. A great gift with my phone, even nicer than an iPad.”
However, not all feedback was glowing; one buyer noted the tablet’s size as ‘good and handy’ but critiqued the display, saying: “The brightness is difficult to fix.”
For those seeking an even more economical tablet purchase, Argos offers the Lenovo M10 at just £99.99.
