Meghan Markle’s close friend and former co-star on Suits, Abigail Spencer, has gushed about the Duchess and claimed the public will get to see her true self in her new Netflix show, just weeks after the latest allegations about her behaviour.

The Duchess of Sussex will star in a new lifestyle series on the streaming titled With Love, Meghan, which is to be released on March 4.

The show will consist of eight episodes and will see the former actress share cooking, gardening and hosting tips.

Meghan’s show will feature various guests and friends of the duchess, including her husband, Prince Harry, Mindy Kaling, Daniel Martin and Ms Spencer.

The actress, who starred alongside Meghan in the legal drama Suits, attended the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Red Dress Collection Concert on Thursday and spoke about the duchess’s new show.

She told Hello!: “I’m so excited for everyone to get to know the Meghan that I know,” she shared. “[The show is] so authentic, it’s so cool.”

Ms Spencer said the show is “really beautiful” and added that viewers are going to “learn a lot,” just like her.

According to the outlet, when asked what fans can expect from Meghan’s show, the actress claimed that viewers will see another side to the duchess “that only her friends are privy to”.

She explained: “I’m just very, very grateful for everyone to get a taste of the Meghan that I know and love.”

She didn’t let slip any spoilers and urged people to watch the show to find out what happens, adding: “I feel like the trailer did a very good job, so you just have to watch March 4th.”

With Love, Meghan, which is the Sussexes’ fourth project for Netflix, will celebrate the “joys of cooking and friendship” and see the duchess share cooking, gardening and other tips and tricks with her friends.

It was originally due to be released on January 15 but was later postponed following the devastating wildfires in California.

It comes as the Duchess was faced with fresh allegations about her behaviour towards staff.

US magazine Vanity Fair published a damning cover story about the duchess earlier this month, in which it claimed that former members of staff, who used to work with Meghan when her deal with Spotify was on, had to allegedly take “breaks from work to escape scrutiny”, leave their job altogether or undergo “long-term therapy”.

The Sussex couple have declined to comment on the latest claims, but sources close to them told the Times they find them”distressing”.
