What makes hydrogen peroxide a great eco-friendly alternative to bleach is that it doesn’t leave any harsh chemical residue on your surfaces. Instead, it breaks down to simply water and oxygen.
The cleaner captioned the cleaning video: “You don’t need to use toxic chemicals to banish black mould.
“The combination of this natural product and a little cleaner’s trick will make even the toughest black mould disappear.”
“What is it? Hydrogen peroxide. Its natural lightening properties work wonders on black mould and you won’t need to scrub.
Before carrying out this cleaning hack, it is vital to always wear gloves when handling hydrogen peroxide.
For this method, households will need six percent hydrogen peroxide which they will need to add to a spray bottle.
The next step is to spray the grouted areas covered in black mould before lining the affected areas with some kitchen roll.
Afterwards, go in and soak the kitchen roll with another generous spray of hydrogen peroxide and leave it to sit for 30 minutes to one hour.
Once the time is up, remove the kitchen roll and rinse the wall thoroughly.
In the cleaning video, there were no traces of mould left behind when the kitchen roll was removed.
