The Prince and Princess of Wales have been tipped to be thinking “very carefully” over a decision regarding their son, 11-year-old Prince George.

Kate and William could be set to break a major royal tradition when it comes to their children – most importantly, their eldest son.

George may follow in Prince William and Prince Harry’s footsteps by enrolling at boarding school – and possibly the brothers’ previous school of Eton.

While William is reportedly keen for George to attend Eton, Kate is said to be looking at wanting to send George to a co-education school like Marlborough College – which is where she was once enrolled.

Royal expert Jennie Bond previously told the Mirror: “From the reports we’ve had, it certainly seems that William and Catherine have undertaken a great deal of research into the best school for George – and, perhaps, the other children.”

Speaking of George and his siblings’, Ms Bond added: “Personally, I think it would be brilliant if they completely broke with tradition and, indeed, their own school background and sent all three the children to a day school for the rest of their education.

“That really would signal that this royal couple intend to do things differently.”

George, Charlotte, nine, and Louis, six, currently attend Lambrook School in Berkshire.

The young trio began studying at the school in September 2022 – the year that they moved to Windsor.
