Iconic PS1 remake is about to leave PS Plus but you still have time to play it | Gaming | Entertainment

The next wave of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games are about to be released by Sony. Available from the morning of March 18, the new PS Plus Extra games include EA UFC 5 and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. That’s on top of new Premium games like Armored Core and Arcade Paradise VR.

Unfortunately, however, it’s not all good news, because some big games are leaving the service on the same day. This includes a selection of Capcom games, including a remake of an iconic PS1 survival horror title.

Indeed, Capcom’s superb Resident Evil 3 Remake will depart PS Plus Extra on the morning of March 18.

The good news is that if you hurry, you can definitely play through the game before it leaves PS Plus Extra.

Resident Evil 3 Remake is one of the shorter games in the series, clocking in at around 6-hours if you focus exclusively on the main story.

The game stars Jill Valentine, who must explore Raccoon City and avoid being eliminated by the Nemesis monster. It’s not too dissimilar to the Mr. X concept first introduced in Resident Evil 2.

Capcom explains more: “Jill Valentine is one of the last remaining people in Raccoon City to witness the atrocities Umbrella performed. To stop her, Umbrella unleashes their ultimate secret weapon – Nemesis!”

Other titles leaving PS Plus on March 18 include fighting games such as Street Fighter 5, Mortal Kombat 11 and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle R.

That’s on top of Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, Life is Strange 2 and Life is Strange True Colours. Finally, consider this your final warning to download and play the likes of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, Monster Energy Supercross The Offical Videogame 6 and Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy.
