Marvel Rivals developer NetEase is to release a high-profile new Spider-Man skin for the game on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Announced with a trailer on X, Spider-Punk is coming to the Marvel Rivals item shop on March 20 in the US and March 21 in the UK. The Spider-Punk skin has a 2am GMT UK release time or 7pm PDT if you live in the US.

As you can see from the gameplay video further down the page, Spider-Punk has his customary mohawk and spiky jacket, alongside his electric guitar.

Spider-Punk will be joined by the Iron Man Steam Power skin, which launches at the same time and on the same day.

“Unleash the Spider-Punk within you!” reads a NetEase post.

“The biggest leap we’ve made in decades? Putting synths back in punk music. And hey, punk was born from the raw strum of a guitar even the future can’t take that away. Wish Hobie could see this…”

The new skins launch ahead of Marvel Rivals season 2, which is expected to drop on April 11.

The upcoming season will introduce new team-up abilities, and will also tweak existing co-op skills. That’s on top of the release of new playable characters.

In addition to Spider-Punk, NetEase is also planning to unleash the final Clone Rumble session, which takes place from March 21 until March 24.

The limited time game mode sees player select from just two characters, which leads to chaos.

“Rivals, get ready for Clone Rumble – where strategy, teamwork, and controlled chaos take centre stage!” reads the official description.

“In this all-new mode, both teams will select one hero each, and every player must choose between these two heroes for the ultimate mirror showdown. Will you master your pick and outplay your clones?”
